Bates Troy honored as “Company of the Year” by ACHIEVE!
Binghamton, NY- Bates Troy Healthcare Linen Services was honored by ACHIEVE, Saturday night,
September 12, 2009 at its Annual Award Dinner at the Binghamton Regency Hotel on Water Street in
Binghamton. Bates Troy has been chosen as “Company of the Year” for its work and partnership with
Country Valley Industries (CVI) of Johnson City.
Robyn Callaway, Sales and Marketing Manager for Country Valley Industries said in nominating Bates Troy
Healthcare Linen Services for The Company Of The Year Award, “Bates Troy has consistently supplied
meaningful work to at Country Valley Industries and has gone “above and beyond the call” to grow our
partnership through NYSID contracts such as SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital. Bates Troy has
shown their support through the creation of new and different jobs for over 80 CVI participants, their
attendance at Achieve’s Savor the Summer event and their major sponsorship of The Million Piece March
picnic. Bates Troy is not only a valued business partner but a true friend to the Agency.”
Brian Kradjian, President of Bates Troy Inc., said in regard to the award, “ "It is an honor to receive an award
from such a wonderful organization and partner like CVI. We are optimistic about further healthcare growth
which corresponds to more jobs for the disabled at CVI. CVI provides a such vital function for the disabled
not to mention the quality services they provide for us and others who participate."
Over the past 56 years, ACHIEVE has grown to become the largest and most comprehensive voluntary
provider of services to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in the area, serving
more than 1,200 individuals in Broome and Tioga Counties each year.
Bates Troy Inc. processes more than 13,000,000 pounds of laundry at its Laurel Avenue facility for
healthcare providers and nursing homes in the Southern Tier and Central New York as well as northeastern
Pennsylvania. Last year Bates Troy completed a 14,000 square foot, 4.3 million dollar plant & equipment
expansion. Bates Troy also operates three retail dry cleaning and tailoring stores in the Binghamton and Vestal
areas.
